Fitness Pilates

  • Reformer:

The reformer is a spring based piece of traditional Pilates equipment providing resistance and support for each exercise. Each class is for one hour on the reformer. These classes are suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
Where: Studio only.

Jumpboard Reformer:

JumpBoard Reformer Pilates provides a great cardio workout on the reformer without the unnecessary joint impact to boost your metabolism and increase your stength and flexibility.  These classes are suitable for all ages and fitness levels but are not recommended if you have problems with your back, knees or ankles. Each class is for one hour.
Where: Studio only.

Classical Mat Pilates:

These are Mat Pilates classes, where we use the classical and required modifications to enable a challenging and safe class.  These classes are levelled from beginners to advanced. These classes are suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
Where: Studio and Community venues.

  • BootCamp Pilates:

This class style is similar to the Classical Mat Pilates however, we are now going for the burn.  We use a verity of props to ensure results (props are provided).  This is a more energetic class and great for weight loss. These classes are suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
Where: Community venues only.

  • Pre-Natal Pilates:

These classes are available if you are in the second and third trimester of your pregnancy.  It’s a great class to keep you in shape and calm throughout this exciting time. These classes are suitable woman in their second and third trimester of pregnancy.

  • Postural Analysis & Fundamentals (PA&F):

This class is a must for anybody doing Pilates (and any type of movement).  Here we assess your posture as exercise can be painful and have little effect if you don’t work the body from a good starting point.  Correcting your posture is often simple and very effective to your exercise results.  We also look at the Pilates fundamentals i.e. how to move the body efficiently and mindfully, how to use our breath to assist us and why we should choose one part of our body to move us rather than another.  This is a fun class and an eye opener to many. These classes are suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

  • Zumba:
This is an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance class.  Fast and slow rhythms are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. It combines hypnotic latin and world beats with exciting dance moves in an exercise class that burns 600 – 800 calories in an hour!

  • Yoga:

Vinyasa Flow Yoga : The term viṅyāsa refers to the alignment of movement and breath, a method which turns static yoga postures into a dynamic flow. The length of one inhale or one exhale dictates the length of time spent transitioning between postures. Poses are then held for a number of breaths.

Hatha Yoga: Hatha yoga attempts to balance mind and body via physical postures or “asanas”, purification practices, controlled breathing, and the calming of the mind through relaxation and meditation. It is based on asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing techniques). It is also recognized as a stress-reducing practice.

Ashtanga Yoga: Ashtanga yoga is a vigorous, athletic style of yoga. It appeals to those who like a sense of order and who like to do things independently. One of the aspects of Ashtanga Yoga is the emphasis on the physical postures, the asanas. It is one of the more quick paced styles of yoga, and is often described as ‘power yoga. It is based on the Ujayi breath (a specific breath technique), Bandhas (internal energetic locks within the body) and driste (gaze). This tristana forms the basis of Ashtanga Yoga.

  • Callanetics:
Callanetics works on the pelvic floor muscles and body alignment. It is a series of small, gentle, precise motions consistently applied, to activate the body’s largest, most powerful muscles. It helps tighten hips, buttocks, inner and outer thighs, flatten the stomach, lift the bust and firm underarms and tones the entire body. It will also improve your posture.

  • Booty Barre:
The Booty Barre class is a fun, high energy class. It fuses fitness techniques from pilates, ballet, callestenics and yoga. This will helpto streamline, firm, tighten and tone muscles and re-align the body without adding bulk. This helps to create balance, posture, body awareness, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. There is no-impact movements. All the while burning calories and fat and simultaneously building “bulk-free” lean muscle mass. The techniques learned in The Booty Barre class help to increase your resting metabolism, which allows you to burn more calories and fat while you are at rest.
