Sarah MacLachlannSarah MacLachlann

Sarah MacLachlann is the founder of Pilates Performance. She opened her first class in Dundrum in 1990. Since then the business has expanded to a large number of locations around Dublin. Sarah has worked in the fitness industry for over 20 years and dedicated her career to Pilates after suffering an injury herself and discovering the benefits of the Pilates Method. She is a 2nd generation Pilates Master and educator and continues to educate herself and pass that knowledge to her students and clients. Currently Sarah is the only person providing Clinical Pilates in its true sense “As people are becoming more aware of this service and its benefits there is a great demand for it, with my clinical clients 80/90% of their pain is alleviated within 4 to 6 sessions – it’s truly amazing” Sarah MacLachlann

Sarah MacLachlann Qualifications:

Sarah MacLachlanns study of Pilates commenced in the traditional way in 1996, where she attended classes with a verity of Pilates trainers in the USA, as there were very few official Pilates schools at the time. Between 1990 and 1996 she had designed a very successful class for people with injuries so when introduced to Pilates she knew that this was her calling. During that same period she completed her Law degree, working in the area of asset management, it was now time to resign from law and focus on Pilates. Sarah chose to train with the best Pilates companies and continues to do so.
She has completed the full repo of Pilates with both phi Pilates and Balance Body. She has also completed her clinical study of Pilates with Polestar, which includes advanced assessment, Neurological rehabilitation, advanced spine, pathokinesiology and gait. Additional study with Polestar include rotational sports, dancers, gymnasts etc
Sarah is also the only person qualified on the CoreAlign, designed by an Israeli physiotherapist (the CoreAlign is unique to Pilates Performance studio)

Anne-Kirsten MacLachlan

Anne-Kirsten has a background in Biochemistry and worked for 8 years in the pharmaceutical industry, both in Paris and Dublin. She decided to leave her work in order to focus on raising her family, and subsequently opted for a career change and joined Pilates Performance. She had been keen to join this industry, after suffering a knee injury and seeing the results Pilates gave her, as a tool to maintain a pain free knee. She joined Pilates Performance Ireland in June 2001, and helped to implement and manage the growing number of community classes provided by Pilates Performance. Her primary role is that of office administrator and support to Sarah MacLachlann. Anne-Kirsten has completed the Mat 1 Pilates training with Balanced Body University. She continues to train with Sarah MacLachlann, as her mentor.

Mona Healy

Mona Healy joined Pilates Performance Ireland in October 2009, after attending classes herself and finding Pilates improved her core strength and balance. She developed an increased body awareness which has helped to prevent injury in other sports she practices. She currently teaches in some of our community venues, as well as being a full-time secondary school teacher of French and Spanish. Mona completed the full Mat Pilates Repertoire (Mat 1 and Mat 2) training with Balanced Body University, with Sarah Maclachlann as her educator and mentor. She continues her training with Pilates Performance  by regularly attending Master classes.

Monika Fronc:

Monika has been working in the Fitness industry for the past 9 years. She graduated from the Academy of Physical Education in Cracow, Poland with a Master’s Degree in 2007. Monika has over 20 qualifications in all aspects of Fitness, such as Pilates, Reformer , Yoga, Zumba, Dance, Step Aerobics and Martial Arts, but Pilates is her primary focus and passion. Monika has completed Reebok Pilates training, including Reebok Core Board and Mat Pilates in Poland. When she moved to Ireland, she started her Pilates Reformer training with Balanced Body University, with Sarah Maclachlann as her educator and mentor.

Rainny Xie:

Rainny is an experienced Yoga and Pilates teacher with nine years’ practice in America, China, Hong Kong, and Ireland. Having settled in Dublin for her PhD work, she hopes to share and exchange her insights and experience with the Irish followers of Pilates and Yoga.  Her classes are challenging, creative and dynamic with emphasis on breathing and alignment all the while keeping the pace invigorating. The intention of every class is to cultivate strength, develop awareness and help find balance physically and mentally.
She currently holds National Alliance Yoga Certification, Physical-Mind Educator Certificate, Balanced Body University Pilates
Reformer I,II,III certification and AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of American) Practical Mat Pilates.
