Pilates Principles

Principles Balanced Body® Movement Principles The Balanced Body Movement Principles form the foundation of Balanced Body Education. They include essential information on anatomy, assessment and kinesiology along with key exercises used in every movement discipline.

Mat (View Levels 1, 2, 3)

This course includes an introduction to the history and principles of the Pilates method and the beginning and intermediate level exercises. Each exercise includes training on modifications, challenges, the purpose of the exercise and any precautions for injuries and special populations.

Pilates Allegro Reformer Classes

Reformer (View Levels 1, 2, 3)

The Pilates Reformer is an extraordinarily flexible piece of equipment allowing resistance and support for exercises involving every part of the body. Our program gives you a thorough understanding of how to use the Reformer to develop core and extremity strength, stability, flexibility, coordination and balance.

Anatomy 3D

Build the body from the inside out with Anatomy in Three Dimensions™. Learn the structure and function of bones, joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments as well as the origin, insertion and action of the major muscles of movement by building them on the Anatomy + Movement skeleton. Learn how muscles move by experiencing each muscle group in action and relating these exercises to functional movement.

Trapeze

Target all areas of the body with the iconic pilates trapeze. This versatile workout will help to build strength, stability and flexibility throughout the body with the adjustments of the springs.

Chair

This is a dynamic and versatile Pilates workout that incorporates the Pilates Chair into a traditional Pilates routine. The Combo Chair adds an extra level of resistance and challenge, making the class suitable for those looking to build strength, stability, and flexibility.

Pilates Ladder Barrel

Barrel

The Pilates Ladder Barrel is designed to activate the core muscles, it challenges the postural muscles, with emphasis on strengthening and improving range of movement whilst developing spinal flexibility and lengthening the muscles.

Balanced Body is a highly respected and world recognised Pilates qualification

There are no prerequisits to doing the Pilates Performance Mentorship, having attended classes is a bonus, come with passion and your mentor, Sarah MacLachlann will teach you
the details.

No, because all elements of the mentorship are now available to complete online, you can attend from anywhere in the world.

There is no fixed time by which you must Test-Out.

Yes, but you should have access to the apparatus to ensure you can practice e.g. your local studio.

The Pilates Mentorship Programme (under 2nd Generation Pilates Master Sarah MacLachlann) takes place every September and enables trainees of all abilities to take their training further and reach their goal of becoming a pilates instructor.

This internationally accredited course covers the full suite of Pilates disciplines and is suitable for beginners right up to all Fitness/ Health & Wellness practitioners.
